First Structural Electronics Seminar and Printed Intelligence Pitching Session brought all the right stakeholders together

PrintoCent has a quest to educate, inspire and create opportunities around printed intelligence and electronics. Hence, as a part of PrintoCent Industry Cluster meeting in Oulu, we also hosted side events like the Structural Electronics Seminar, on March 12th  and the Printed Pitching Session at the Polar Bear Pitching startup event on March 13th.

The first keynote on the Structural Electronics seminar was held by Antti Keränen, from TactoTek on their core business i.e. technology licensing and manufacturing of 3D smart in-mold electronics. Other speeches included a presentation from TOTAL, when they shared their current needs in the field of drone based environmental research and monitoring, where the keywords like eco-friendliness also apply very much. This seminar covered very intuitively both the needs of various industries as well as the matching offering and opportunities with totally new solutions.

Besides highly informative set of presentations the international audience of close to 100 participants also had a chance to network and visit the PrintoCent Pilot Factory premises at the VTT.

On the following day, the Printed Intelligence startup companies had a chance to present their business cases and pitch for money at one of the wildest startup events on globe. Polar Bear Pitching event, which is famous for its ice hole pitching sessions, hosted one pitching stream that was solely dedicated to printed intelligence related companies and the turnout was excellent. Fortunately to our companies, this session was held during the morning’s business event and indoors.
