Session 6 on Future of Rapid Diagnostics
The on-going COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the immense value of rapid diagnostics. Large global populations have experienced first-hand the hurdles and distresses of cumbersome testing procedures. With the global spotlight on the topic, now is an opportune time to address rapid diagnostics more broadly within global health care systems. Already before this pandemic health care systems around the world were facing growing pressures to establish more timely and cost-effective means to monitoring and diagnosing patients’ health, not only as a means to react to health epidemics, but a means to control and pre-emptively address major on-going health concerns (obesity, diabetes, malaria, among others).
The world needs fast point of care tests which are fluently adapted to new viruses and are scalable to high volume manufacturing plus are usable in the field, in setting such as travellers in borders, small health care stations, schools, nursing homes, etc. and further on even in homes without healthcare professionals. Printed intelligence offers new tools to tackle these needs and research seeks to create the key enablers to new user friendly, mass deployable, and cost effective ways to carry out health testing..
Join this webinar session to learn about Jabil`s perspective how to manage quality in innovative medical device developments, about Biomensio`s new method for multianalyte biosensing, how Ginolis is realizing automation for medical device assembly, and about on-going research topics on extracellular vesicle purification and on non-invasive saliva tests for Covid-19.
