One of the largest car manufacturers in China, Geely has been looking more closely into the PrintoCent industry cluster members.
Geely, which owns also Volvo is currently looking for technology innovation partners from Oulu. They’re now building their own innovation center to Gothenburg, Sweden.
On November 8th, several PrintoCent companies participated in the Geely’s Tech Day event in Gothenburg. The company had invited about 40 members of their executive group to see these companies: Tactotek, New Cable Corporation, Flexbright, Canatu, Nanocomp and Pilkington with PrintoCent.
Following this meeting about 500 Geely engineers had a chance to talk with the PrintoCent companies. Besides Geely, also Volvo Cars, Volvo AB, Ericsson, Zenuity, Lynk & Co and CEVT took part in the event.
On November 9th, Gang Wei, director Geely Europe, visited Oulu too. He’s looking for the latest technologies into the newly established Geely Innovation Centre in Europe that has a notable space of 100 000 m2.
The respected guests had the chance to get to know 16 companies in Oulu as well as to see the PrintoCent production line at VTT. The visits were organized by Oulu led Finnish Business Hub in Gothenburg.
