Training sessions Tue 23.1. at 13.00 – 16.00

Two parallel trainings are organized! Please note that the number of participants for the trainings is limited, and registration is required.

BASIC LEVEL - Introduction to Screen Printing for Printed Electronics Manufacturing

Training gives an introduction to Screen Printing Technology for Printed Electronics manufacturing. Training will introduce you to the benefits and limitations of using advanced Screen Printing to create electronic structures.

In the first part of the training attendees will learn the basics of screen printing and the tools used in the process. 2nd part is printing and application demonstration at PrinLab laboratory. Attendees´ will have a chance to get their hands dirty on the real Screen Printing device and they get a world class demonstration of sensors that can be manufactured using screen printing.

Demonstration will be held in collaboration with Henkel AG & Co. KGaA, using their INKxperience Kit.

Venue: OAMK Oulu University of Applied Sciences, Yliopistonkatu 9, 90570 Oulu.

Contact person: Harri Määttä, mobile +358 50 599 6612

ADVANCED LEVEL – Hybrid Electronics reliability

Reliability assessment is a fundamental topic in successful R&D projects to guarantee designed lifetime and customer satisfaction, and a way to impact sustainability. The training focuses on various interconnection techniques in printed and hybrid electronics (PHE) and discusses test methods used in PHE reliability studies. Session topics cover both adhesive bonding technology and low temperature soldering process from reliability perspective. The program includes hands-on demonstration to evaluate bonding strength of SMDs mounted on a flexible substrate.

Industrial view given to the topic by Avery Dennison and CondAlign.

Venue: VTT, Kaitoväylä 1, 90570 Oulu.
